Monday 13th of July 2026. El Hierro.

My sister Carmel arrives on Thursday for 4 or 5 days and I have a one day free diving course to do. Estaca marina, El Hierro. Beautiful marina only half full of boats, dead quiet except when the ferry arrives and only €9 per night. A frenchman arrived this morning, singlehanded in a 40ish foot trimaran. I asked him where was he going to watch the game tonight and he didn't know what I was talking about. I will watch it on my tablet and sadly also the game tomorrow. There is a town nearby but the bus timetable doesn't suit and though they have bars they might not have televisions - just joking. Sunday 19th of July 2026. The View from the top of El Hierro.
